• Assisted in developing an IC engine test stand, preparing a 650 cc motorcycle engine for research activities and post machining on a proof of concept 3D printed piston.

Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

• Utilized SolidWorks to design, manufacture, and implement 4 welding positioning fixtures for the chassis line on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle to reduce material handling time by 20 percent.

• Utilized ProPlanner in the reorganization of people, equipment, and work content on the manufacturing line to match changing demands. Worked closely with UAW welders to meet needs.

• Selected projects: replacing 100+ crowbars with engineered solutions, unifying several incompatible tool logs and maintenance schedules into one searchable excel workbook, developing visual work instructions for 50+ processes, optimizing laser cut part nests to save approximately $100,000 in material annually, and assisting in preparing a future plant layout.
